DR. TAYLOR DeROSE, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy, Silverado Ranch, Las Vegas

Taylor DeRose was born and raised in Las Vegas. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Nevada, Reno, where she spent four years on the collegiate cheerleading team, then came home to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In a city where most providers moved here from somewhere else, Taylor is treating the community she is from.
Sports Rehabilitation, Orthopedics, and Post-Surgical Recovery
Taylor’s clinical training and professional experience span sports rehabilitation, outpatient orthopedics, and post-operative rehabilitation. She has worked with patients of every age, background, and activity level, from people trying to get through a workday without pain to athletes trying to get back on the field.
Post-surgical recovery is a particular focus. The weeks after an operation are where most people either rebuild properly or quietly settle for less than they had before, and that window is where she does some of her best work.
She Has Been On The Other Side Of Rehab
Four years as a collegiate cheerleader came with its own injuries, and Taylor went through her own rehabilitation to get back to competing. She knows what it feels like to be told to rest when resting is the last thing you want to hear. She knows the mental side of recovery, the part where you are cleared on paper but do not trust your own body yet. Patients do not have to explain that part to her.
Taylor is the clinician on our roster who came up through cheerleading, and she understands what those athletes actually do: the tumbling, the stunting, the landings, the hypermobility, and the overhead demands that most clinicians never see. Cheer, dance, and gymnastics athletes in Las Vegas are routinely treated like generic knee or shoulder patients. They are not. Taylor treats the sport, not just the joint.

How Taylor Treats
Her approach is individualized and evidence-based, with movement assessment, mobility work, strength training, and hands-on treatment matched to what a specific patient needs rather than a protocol pulled off a shelf. She treats the whole person rather than the injury in isolation. The goal is not just getting a patient back to what they were doing before, it is sending them out stronger and more confident than they were when they got hurt.
