For performing this exercise follow these steps

  • Position yourself on your hand and legs your position must be like a dog
  • Now slowly extend your left leg straight behind you
  • Make sure that your back remains straight and parallel to the floor during this exercise and doesn’t elevate
  • Hold this position for about 5 to 10 seconds and repeat it using your opposite leg

As we always say before starting any rehabilitation program always concert with your physical therapist and if any exercise cause more pain instead of reducing that stop the exercise immediately at least you should perform strengthening exercise and stretching exercise three times each day once your back pain is cured you can decrease the frequency of these exercises to one side a this will help you to prevent any future problem with your lower back
